The fitness test dates have
been added to the website. They are as follows:

Sunday 30th March, 2008 at 9.00 am. - Barton Park, North Parramatta
Friday 4th April, 2008 at 7.00 pm - Daniel Street Park, Greystanes

CLUB
REFEREES COURSE - March 2008
A fast track club referees course
is being conducted at the Clubhouse at Fred Caterson Reserve on Saturday 29th
March, 2008 starting at 12.30 pm and concluding at 5.00 pm.
The course fee is $50, which includes FIFA Law book, FIFA DVD Laws of the Game,
and lecture notes covering each of the 17 laws.
The course will focus on the key and practical aspects that an unofficial
referee needs to know and understand.
There will also be a short examination at the conclusion of the course to
qualify for a certificate.

The changes in the laws set down
by the 2008 IFAB meeting (only relevant to our 2009 season) have been added to the website
as a PDF File. This can be found by clicking on the appropriate button on the
front page
.

PLEASE NOTE: These
Law Changes are the latest available and generally won't
come into effect in Australia until 2009.
Please refer to the
E. & E. C. of GDSRA before following or adopting them as there are differences with what we
are running with now.

FEDERATION AUSTRALIA SMALL SIDED GAMES - March,
2008
The Football Federation of Australia has approached grass roots Associations to
introduce "Small Sided Games" (SSG) for young players. The GDSFA has welcomed
the new initiative and has decided to run the Association-organised Under 6
season in this format. FFA has produced two publications on
this initiative - one a "parents
information guide" and the other a "small
sided games handbook". To view these go to "Members

interest and those referees who also hold coaching certificates and licences.

NSW SEND OFF & INCIDENT REPORTS -

The latest Football NSW Send Off and Incident Reports have been added to the "Referee
Reports" page of the website. To view the
updated reports go the the drop down menu bar and click on "Members Information"
and then click of sub menu "Referees Documents" followed by sub sub menu
"Referee Reports"; now you can click on the appropriate report you required or
alternatively go directly there now by clicking on the following Internet

The links page has been updated
to include three new links "AusRef
- Football Referees Australia", "Northern
NSW State League Referees" and "Bendigo
Region Soccer Referees".
The NSW State League Football Referees (formerly ASRF NSW Division) link has
been changed to reflect the new name of this fine body of referees. Also
with the changes decreed by Football NSW the "New South Wales Soccer Referees
Incorporated" link has been removed as this body no longer controls the States
Referees Association. To view
